The Yearly Life Update

It seems this time of year I always lose my blogging mojo, this time a year ago I was writing a life update to let you all know where I’d been and what had been happening, a year later here I am telling you where I’ve been and what’s been going on. So let’s start with apologising for being the slackest blogger in creation, I hate abandoning my blog, but sometimes I need a break from it and the blogosphere.

Let’s rewind back to August when I last uploaded, I’d just got back off holiday and was gushing about the wonderful time I’d had in Wales. We came home to an absolute butt tonne of family drama, which thankfully has now ironed itself out. The last 3 months or so have been incredibly stressful and draining, I’m so glad to see the back of it.

Then it was our little princesses first birthday. I cannot believe my little squidge is a year old, I don’t know where the last year has gone but it’s absolutely flew. Being able to see Ivy grow has been the biggest honour, she’s the funniest little girl who will do anything to make anyone laugh. Watching her learn has been amazing, from seeing her crawl for the first time, to hearing her say JJ, which made me cry! Even in the last few months since she turned one she has learnt so much, she tries to engage in conversation and when she sees you she waves and says hi, also made me cry the first time she did it. She’s this amazing, adorable little girl and I couldn’t be a prouder Aunty if I tried.

I got a lead role and the one I wanted in panto, I’ll be playing Bob in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I am so excited to have my teeth sunk back into a show and I cannot wait to perform on the stage again, especially the night before my birthday! I love panto, I honestly think it’s my favourite thing to perform in.

I also ran for carnival queen and got to dress like a princess for the night, honestly it was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had. I may not have been crowned a queen but it reiterated in my head that I am a queen and I always need to keep my head up and tiara straight. I’ve made some wonderful friends through doing it and can’t wait to be involved more with the carnival and events they organise.

We’ve also had a lot of work done to our house since coming back off holiday, we had a new boiler fitted and we are in the process of having all new windows and doors and that certainly has kept us on our toes. Our house has been upside down and back to front for the last month or so but it’s slowly getting there and it’s so worth it.

Other than that I’ve just been really busy with work and that’s only going to get busier as I start a new job in 2 weeks. I’ve been trying to spend as much time as possible with friends and family, a few things have happened recently that have really made me realise that life is just too short and you need to make the most of it and just really enjoy it.There may also be an update on the dating front but its still early days so we'll save that for another time (ps he asked me to put this here) I’m going to be making a few changes over here, I really want to be making more videos as I really think that is where my passion lies, so expect sit down videos and maybe even a few vlogs coming your way.

Thank you so much for your support whilst I’ve had some time off, it, from the bottom of my heart, is so greatly appreciated.

So much love, as always.
